Bloom & Grow Photography | 2011 Year in Review {Utah Photographer}

I got my first digital SLR last christmas.  Up until then, the extent of my experience with cameras had been holding my point-and-shoot up to my eye and pushing the big round silver button on top.  I had no clue how to use this big, new, overwhelming, complicated machine.  Aperture, ISO (which I pronounced eye-so), exposure triangle were all words that did not exist in my vocabulary.  I didn't even start with a desire to be a photographer.  I just wanted to learn how to take good pictures of my kids...

I spent months researching and absorbing anything and everything I could about photography.  I took hundreds of terrible pictures and used my new post processing "skills" to make them look even worse.  But gradually, I built my confidence and I booked my first official photoshoot in July.

I have learned and grown so much in the past 12 months.  I have a long way to go, with lots to learn, but I'm ready for the challenge and for me that's part of the fun.  I'm excited for the future.  There are some awesome things on the horizon for Bloom & Grow Photography!!

To all of my family, friends, clients and fans, thank you.  Thank you for taking a chance, believing in me and booking shoots.  I am honored to have had the privilege of working with each of you!

It was so hard to narrow it down, but below are some of my favorite images from the year.   I hope you enjoy Bloom & Grow Photography's 2011 Year in Review.
